Mandarin Area of Jacksonville

Mandarin is a beautiful area of Jacksonville which is very popular with families. This area began experiencing growth in the 1970’s and was mostly built out by the late 1990’s. Bordered by Julington Creek and the St. Johns County Border to the south and the St. Johns River to the west, Mandarin offers many waterfront properties. The area boasts marinas, several parks, and unobstructed water views which, makes the Mandarin area one of the most picturesque areas of Jacksonville. For anyone interested in acreage, Mandarin provides one of the last areas East of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville where some homes on acreage are still available along with equestrian home sites. Homes in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville are typically more expensive than surrounding some of the surrounding areas, however, recently homes have started to become more affordable. Interstate I-295 runs directly through the Mandarin area which provides quick access to just about anywhere in Jacksonville. Another added benefit of the Mandarin area are the excellent schools; being the most highly rated in general in all of Duval County.
