Jacksonville Beaches

The beaches area of Jacksonville stretches from the Atlantic ocean West to the Intracoastal Waterway. The Jacksonville Beach area went through a major real estate boom over past 10 years and experienced immense growth and rejuvenation. Until recently, Jacksonville beach was one of the only major beach metropolises in Florida without high-rise ocean front condominiums. This has changed in recent years and Jacksonville beach is now lined with many new high-end, luxury, sky rise condominiums. Jacksonville beach offers many traditional single family homes and family friendly neighborhoods as well. The Jacksonville beaches area consists of several different incorporated cities including Jacksonville beach, Neptune beach, Atlantic beach, and Mayport. Neptune beach is only approximately a mile long and Atlantic beach isn’t much larger. These areas offer tree lined streets, charming shops, local eateries, and a laid back feel. Mayport is home to Mayport Naval Station and consists of mainly military housing and condominiums. Homes in the Mayport area are the least expensive of all the beach areas.
